The Embassy of Poland in Singapore declares to ensure the accessibility of polandshiok.sg website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.

Accessibility declaration

The website partially complies with the Act on Digital Accessibility of Public Entities’ Websites and Mobile Applications due to the non-compliance or exclusions listed below.

There may be situations where, despite the efforts of the website editors, certain documents published on the website are unavailable due to the fact that these documents:

  1. come from various sources,
  2. have been published based on the principles adopted by another institution,
  3. were published before the entry into force of the Digital Accessibility Act.

Some videos posted on the website may also not have subtitles or other required elements, as they were also published before the entry into force of the Digital Accessibility Act.

The declaration was prepared based on a self-assessment carried out by a public entity.

In case of problems with website accessibility, please contact us by email singapore.secretary@msz.gov.pl or by calling +65 6235 9478. Using the same contact details you can apply for unavailable information and complain about lack of accessibility.

Everyone has the right to request the accessibility of the website, the mobile application or any element thereof. It is also possible to request information in alternative forms, such as reading a digitally unavailable document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc. The request should include the identity of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is involved and the way in which he or she can be contacted. If the person requests information in an alternative form, he or she should also specify the form of that information.

The public entity should comply with the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform when it will be possible to comply with the request, but this deadline shall not be longer than 2 months. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility, the public entity may propose an alternative way to access the information.

In case an entity refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or alternative access to information, a complaint may be made against such action.

Once all appeal possibilities are used, a complaint to the ombudsman also applies.
