VII Piano Voyage Concert

In the year of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Poland, a Singaporean school joined the Chopin tune and drew inspiration for its flagship concert from the legacy of the great Polish composer.

Act I of Piano Voyage VII takes you on a musical journey around the world, including to Poland, where the glorious spirit of a well-recognized Polonaise in A major op. 40 is aptly expressed by piano music as well as dance. The choreography was prepared in close collaboration with Maria Stokłosa  – a renowned Polish dancer, choreographer, and creator of Let’s Dance Chopin’s show for Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

Act II pays homage to Fryderyk Chopin as a brilliant improviser and features the winners of the La Salle’s Classical Concerto Competition who drew inspiration from the beauty, depth, and endlessly opulent melody of Fryderyk Chopin’s music.

The 7th edition of the Piano Voyage concert “Global Transmission: The Museum of Musical Reflection” was presented by Diploma and BA (Hons) Music students from Classical Music, in collaboration with students from LASALLE’s Dance, Fine Arts, Film, Animation and Design Communication.

Its premiere online took place on the 29th of May.
