On 22 April 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Singapore partnered with the Singapore Press Club (SPC) to showcase Poland at the “Embassy Press Night” media event. The event, part of SPC’s popular series, offers journalists and media professionals a chance to discover a country through a candid conversation with its Ambassador.

The evening featured an insightful discussion between Ambassador Tadeusz Chomicki and Nyíma Pratten, Senior Producer at Reuters and SPC Board Member. Joined by an audience of around 65 guests – including representatives of Singapore’s media landscape (The Straits Times, Bloomberg, Mediacorp, Singapore Media Academy and leading online news platforms) – the conversation explored Poland’s growing ties with Singapore, current international developments, and the country’s impressive social and economic transformation over recent decades.

Beyond politics, economics and Poland–Singapore relations, guests were also introduced to another side of Poland. Ambassador Chomicki highlighted why Poland is increasingly attracting visitors from around the world – from its historic cities and beautiful landscapes to its unique culinary heritage.

And speaking of food, no introduction to Poland would be complete without a taste of it. Thanks to the “Taste Europe” project, guests enjoyed a specially curated menu prepared by Tomasz Parzybut, President of the Association of Polish Butchers and Meat Processors, together with Chef Sebastian Kornacki. The culinary presentation offered a delicious glimpse into the flavours that make Polish cuisine so distinctive.

The food promotion segment was further enriched by the presence of Małgorzata Gromadzka, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as Members of the Polish Parliament Katarzyna Królak and Jarosław Rzepa from the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.

The evening was a wonderful opportunity to build new connections with Singapore’s media community and spark interest in Poland – not only as a trusted political and economic partner, but also as a country with a rich culture, welcoming people, and exceptional culinary traditions.
