May 3rd Constitution Day Concert

On Tuesday, 4 May, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Singapore organised a classical music concert to commemorate the 230th anniversary of 3rd May Constitution Day.
The concert featured outstanding Singaporean musicians: pianist Churen Li, cellist Leslie Tan and violinist Shuxiang Yang who performed selected compositions of renowned Polish composers – F. Chopin, K. Penderecki H. Wieniawski and A. Panufnik
The event was attended by Guest of Honour Mr. Alvin Tan Sheng Hui Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade & Industry and the Ministry of Community, Culture and Youth, and over one hundred guests from the world of politics, business, science, as well as from cultural and diplomatic circles and from Polish diaspora.
In her speech, HE Magdalena Bogdziewicz highlighted the importance of the occasion saying:
“May 3rd Constitution Day has been chosen for a reason to be Poland’s national day. It is the most joyful of our commemorations; a symbol of Poland’s independence, reflecting our firm anchoring in the community of democratic nations and the commitment to the peaceful and prosperous development of Europe.”
The event was supported by: Polish Tourism Organisation, Port Gdańsk, and RTB House.
